All the challenges that come with being a person
I work with people aged 17 to 212.
My practice embraces diversity and welcomes members of the LGBTQ+ community, all cultures/ethnicities, and supports human rights and equity.
My approach is person-centered, which means our time together will be focused on what is important to you. My goal is to give you room, space, and grace to work on what serves you best. This is your time.
Healing and change work best in a supportive environment. After 25 years in the high country, I understand the unique challenges faced by those of us who love our small, mountain home.
FAQs
What if I see you in public?
Summit County is a small community, and we may run into each other out and about. Should this happen, my policy is not to initiate communication; this is for your privacy. But if you want to say hello, and you start a conversation with me, I will happily engage for a brief chat, not disclosing any information about our sessions. The choice is yours.
How long is a typical session, and what is it like?
Sessions are 50 minutes long and will focus on your needs and goals, which we will discuss during our consultation. Walking and talking is an option as are other experiential modalities.
Do you accept insurance?
Yes! I am able to accept insurance from these companies: Anthem Blue Cross, Select Health, Aetna, Quest, Carelon, and Cigna. I am in the process of getting credentialed with several other companies.
However, let’s talk before you decide to use your insurance, as there are specific requirements to access insurance for mental health, and you should be aware of them.
Is tele-health an option?
Not yet. Once you and I have an established relationship, I am happy to accommodate tele-health needs.
Are you taking new clients for in-person sessions?
Yes! I can’t wait to work with you. Please complete the free 15-minute phone consultation form so we can determine if we are a good match.
You worked with teenagers for years, will you see my child?
Sorry, but I am only seeing adult clients, ages 17-212. I am happy to refer you to a therapist who specializes in teens, and I would love to work with you about your children’s needs.
